In a deeply moving event held recently, the Rashtriya OBC Mahasangh Goa honored the legacy of the illustrious social reformer Savitribai Phule by presenting a beautifully crafted portrait of her to Hon’ble Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar. This gesture was a testament to the enduring impact of Phule’s pioneering work in social reform and her significant contributions to advancing education and equality.
The ceremony, which took place in an atmosphere of respect and reverence, was graced by a distinguished assembly of community leaders. Madhu Anant Naik, the Goa State President of Rashtriya OBC Mahasangh, spearheaded the event and was joined by other prominent figures, including Mr. Divakar Pagi, Goa State President of Pagui Samaj; Mr. Soiru Komarpant, President of Akhil Gomantak Bhumiputra Komarpant Samaj; and Mr. Prashant Mainkar, Goa State President of Satarkar Mahasangh.
